New (tax) year, new help!

Fixed Assets and UltraTax CS 2023 help is now on Help and Support. We're still moving articles, but you can find most content for the 2023 tax year there. Continue using the Help & How-To Center for tax years 2022 and older.

Follow these steps if you want all the data that you entered in the input screens to print in capital letters on the returns, extensions, UltraTax/1040 Client Organizer pages, and input screens.

Completing these steps does not affect letters, filing instructions, and invoices. These documents will not print in all capital letters unless you entered the data in capital letters. Note that at print time, certain variables in these documents are replaced by data entered in input screens or forms. In that case, the data will print in all capitals or in lower case, depending on how it was entered.

  1. Depending on whether UltraTax CS is set up for office-wide or user-defined print options, do one of the following:
    • Office-wide print options: Choose Setup > Office Configuration. If required, enter the master password, click OK, and then click the Print Options tab.
    • User-defined print options: Choose Setup > User Preferences and then click the Print Options tab.

Note: This tab is available only if you are licensed for the network version of UltraTax CS.

  2. In the Print Options dialog or tab, mark the Print client data in capital letters checkbox.
  3. Click Done or OK.
