New (tax) year, new help!

Fixed Assets and UltraTax CS 2023 help is now on Help and Support. We're still moving articles, but you can find most content for the 2023 tax year there. Continue using the Help & How-To Center for tax years 2022 and older.

Statement dialogs contain several drop-down menus available to assist you in entering the necessary information.

Menu Commands
Statement Add a blank row to the statement dialog, import data from an Excel spreadsheet, insert a row above the current row, delete the current row, view prior-year data, visit all cells in the statement dialog, or open and close extra tabs for other statements on the same input screen.
Edit Cut, copy, and paste entire rows; undo changes in a statement tab, accept or discard shared data; acknowledge or delete overruled data; enter items for the custom fieldview attached to the current field, if applicable; use the built-in calculator; or add a field note or a tick mark and view the Tickmark / Field Note History of statement items.
Column Foreign column, if applicable; sort the items in the selected column in ascending or descending order (alphabetic/numeric). For example, if you position the cursor in a statement amount column and select Sort Ascending from the Column menu, the statement items will be sorted according to amount, with the statement item with the lowest amount listed first.
Help Access the help for the current input screen, and restore deleted statement items.

Tips

  • To open the statement dialog, click the Statement dialog Statement button button next to a field with an attached statement. This button is red if the statement dialog already contains data.
  • Foreign columns are hidden where there is no foreign data.
  • For more information, see Menus and toolbars in UltraTax CS.
  • Many frequently used menu commands, such as Add Item or Copy Item, are assigned keyboard shortcuts that allow you to quickly execute the command. When available, keyboard shortcuts are listed next to the commands in the drop-down menu.
