The statement dialog includes a special toolbar that you can use when you enter data in the rows and columns of a statement.
Button | Function |
---|---|
Open Statement Tab: If you open a statement dialog in an input screen that has multiple statement fields, you can click this button and select the statement you want to open from drop-down list. Instead of opening as separate dialogs, each statement opens in a separate tab in one statement dialog. Statements listed in the drop-down list that have data are preceded by a red S. |
Visit all cells: If you do not want the cursor to automatically skip "blue" fields (that is, fields that contain data transferred from or calculated elsewhere in the return), click this button. |
Custom Fieldviews: Opens a dialog in which you can enter items for the custom fieldview attached to the selected field. Note: This button is only enabled if the cursor is located in a field with an attached custom fieldview, as indicated by an arrow and a vertical green stripe next to the field. |
Cut: Cuts the selected text. Keyboard: CTRL+X |
Copy: Copies the selected text. Keyboard: CTRL+C |
Paste: Pastes the selected text. Keyboard: CTRL+V |
Next Row: Moves the cursor to the next row of the statement. Keyboard: SHIFT+ENTER |

Add Row: Adds a row to the bottom of the statement dialog. Keyboard: CTRL+A |
Insert Row: Inserts a row above the row in which the cursor is located. Keyboard: CTRL+I |
Delete Row: Deletes the row in which the cursor is located. Keyboard: CTRL+D |
Sort Ascending: Click the heading or a field in the column you want to sort by, then click this button to sort the column in ascending (alphabetic/numeric) order. This means, for example, that columns with numeric items will be sorted according to amount, with the lowest amount listed first. |
Sort Descending: Click the heading or a field in the column you want to sort by, then click this button to sort the column in descending (alphabetic/numeric) order. This means, for example, that columns with numeric items will be sorted according to amount, with the highest amount listed first. |
Show foreign columns: Displays only if there is foreign data. Click the button to view foreign columns. |
Field Note: Adds a Field Note to the currently selected row in the statement dialog. |
Tick Mark: Adds a Tick Mark to the currently selected row in the statement dialog. |
Tips
