UltraTax CS provides a calculator with two modes: Standard and TenKey.
The built-in calculator is available for any amount field in an input screen, a statement dialog, or the asset module.
- From an amount field, press the F7 function key on your keyboard to open the calculator. The current value in the amount field carries to the calculator automatically.
- Click + to add, - to subtract, * to multiply, or / to divide.
- Enter the next number in the calculation.
- Enter any remaining operators and numbers.
- Click = Enter (or press the ENTER key on your keyboard) to calculate the final result.
- Press F2 or click the Close button to return the final result to the field.
Note: You can choose the decimal accuracy you need. To do so, click the Calculator button, place the cursor on Decimal Accuracy, and make your selection.
Standard Mode
To switch to the Standard Mode from the TenKey Mode, click the Standard Mode button, press CTRL+M, or click the Calculator button and then select Switch Mode.
To display history, click the Show History button, press CTRL+H, or click the Calculator button and select Show History. Note the following unique buttons: Hide History , Clear History , Scroll Up , and Scroll Down .
Note: You cannot print the history.
TenKey Mode
To switch to the TenKey Mode from Standard Mode, click the TenKey Mode button, press CTRL+M, or click the Calculator button and select Switch Mode.
Notes
- The tape displays by default, but you cannot print the tape. To hide the tape, press CTRL+H or click the Calculator button and select Hide Tape.
- When you close the TenKey Mode calculator, a Open Calculator button is added next to the field. Click the button or press F7 to open the calculator again.
