Setting up Gmail

  1. Go to email.<your domain name>.

    Note: Do not enter www. in front of this URL.

  2. Sign in to your web-based email account.
  3. Click the Settings button Settings button near the upper-right corner and choose Mail settings.
  4. Click the Forwarding and POP/IMAP link.
  5. Select Enable POP for all mail or Enable POP for mail that arrives from now on.
  6. In the When messages are access with POP field, choose what you want Gmail to do with your messages after your POP client or device receives the messages.
  7. Click Save Changes.

Setting up Outlook

  1. Click the File tab in the ribbon, click the Account Settings button, and choose Account Settings.
  2. Click the New button.
  3. Enter your full name.
  4. Enter your email address.
  5. Enter your password.
  6. Re-enter your password.
  7. Mark the Manually configure server settings or additional server types checkbox, and click Next.
  8. In the Internet E-mail Settings page, enter the following information.
    Section Field Enter
    User Information Your Name Your full name
    E-mail Address Enter you full email address
    Server Information Account Type POP3
    Incoming Mail Server pop.gmail.com
    Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) smtp.gmail.com
    Logon Information User Name Your full email address
    Password The password for your web-based email account
  9. Mark the Remember Password checkbox.
  10. Click the More Settings button.
  11. Click the Outgoing Server tab.
  12. Mark the My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication checkbox.
  13. Click the Use same settings as my incoming mail server option.
  14. Click the Advanced tab.
  15. In the Incoming server (POP3) field, enter 995.
  16. In the Outgoing server (SMTP) field, enter 587.
  17. In the Use the following type of encrypted connection field, select TLS.
  18. Click OK.
  19. If the above settings don't work, use these settings.
    1. In the Incoming server (POP3) field, enter 995.
    2. In the Outgoing server (SMTP) field, enter 486.
    3. In the Use the following type of encrypted connection field, select SSL.
    4. Click OK.
  20. Click the Test Account Settings button.
  21. After receiving confirmation, click Close. If you receive any error messages, double-check your settings. If you still receive error messages, contact us at (866) 340-5652 or at emochila.techteam@thomsonreuters.com.
  22. Click Finish.
