Improve the delivery of your Newsletter marketing email messages

Show expandable text

To help improve the delivery of your Web Builder CS Newsletter marketing email messages, we suggest adding a Sender Policy Framework (SPF) record to your domain name’s Domain Name System (DNS) records as shown below. SPF records authorize specific email servers to send mail on your behalf. Adding an SPF record will help all of your Thomson Reuters hosted email applications send mail on your behalf more effectively.

How do I know if my domain name has an SPF record?
You can check to see if your domain has an SPF record by using any DNS Lookup tool. We recommend the SPF Lookup from MXToolbox.com, available at mxtoolbox.com/spf.aspx.

SPF record recommendation for customers who use Web Builder CS email
This SPF record is designed to authorize the Web Builder CS email and Web Builder CS Newsletter servers. Please see Who should make these changes? below for more information.

  • v=spf1 ip4:167.68.0.1/16 include:jsmtp.net ~all

SPF record recommendation for customers who use a 3rd-party email provider other than Web Builder CS email
This SPF record is designed to authorize Web Builder CS Newsletter servers and should be appended to the domain’s existing SPF entry. If your domain name does not currently have an SPF record, contact your email provider before making this change.

  • include:jsmtp.net ~all

Who should make these changes?
If Thomson Reuters controls your domain name, we can make these changes at your request. If we do not, the administrative contact for your domain name should make these changes. You can find the administrative contact for your domain name by performing a WHOIS search. We recommend whois.domaintools.com. The WHOIS record results will show Admin Name, Admin Phone, and Admin Email.

Option: allow Thomson Reuters to manage your domain name
If you would like Thomson Reuters to control your domain’s DNS records and make future record changes, please email CS Web Builder Support.
