Previous SSN History dialog

For clients using XactPay files, The Hartford requires that payroll files (XactPAY files) include any changes that have been made in employee Social Security numbers. When the employee's Social Security number is changed in the Employees screen, that information is stored in the Previous SSN History dialog. 

Choose Setup > Employees. In the Main tab, click the Ellipsis button next to the EIN/SSN field.

Previous SSN History grid

The fields in the grid are read-only.

  • Date. The date that the employee's Social Security number was updated.
  • Previous SSN. The prior Social Security number that was entered for the employee.
  • Transmitted. If this change of information has already been sent to The Hartford in a payroll file, the Transmitted checkbox is marked.
