When printing SUTA or other state payroll tax forms that require preprinted paper stock, you may need to use the following procedure to align data with the applicable spaces on the preprinted form.

  1. With the client already open, choose Utilities > Payroll Tax Processing.
  2. From the Payroll Tax Processing window, choose the name of the applicable state from the View menu or click the state's flag in the shortcut bar at the left side of the display.
  3. Choose Setup > Form Layout Editor.
  4. In the Open tax form dialog, select the form needing adjustment, and then click the OK button.
  5. When the facsimile of the form displays in the Layout Editor window, do the following:
    • To adjust the entire form to accommodate the printing, choose Select All from the Edit menu, and then use the directional arrows on your keyboard to adjust the entire document as needed.
    • To adjust an individual field, click in the field and then use the directional arrows on your keyboard to adjust the field to the desired location.
  6. When the form is aligned properly, choose Form > Save Form.
  7. To print a sample of the form, choose Form > Print Sample.
  8. Click the Done button on the toolbar at the top of the window.
  9. Print forms as described in Printing payroll tax forms.
