The Workpaper Diagnostic Report provides information on the status of selected workpapers. You can sort workpapers by workpaper reference, workpaper name, warning type, the staff member it is assigned to, notes, preparer signoff, reviewer signoff, or by three additional signoff parameters. You can also choose to view all workpapers or only selected workpapers.
Choose File > Diagnostic Reports > Workpaper.
- The report lists information about workpapers in the engagement: Workpaper Reference, Workpaper Name, Assigned, Notes, Preparer Signoff, and Reviewer Signoff.
- Three Additional Signoff parameters can also be defined in the Setup > System Configuration > Sign Off Types dialog in CSA.
- By default, all workpapers in the engagement are included in the report. By selecting different options the workpapers listed in the Workpaper Diagnostic Report can be filtered. This helps you to determine which workpapers have not been signed off or which workpapers are still checked out.
Fields & buttons
You can choose how you wish to sort the workpapers from the drop-down list. You can sort selected workpapers by:
- Workpaper Reference
- Workpaper Name
- Warning
- Assigned staff member
- Notes
- Preparer or Reviewer signoff
- User-defined signoff (See Signoff Types)
By default, all workpapers are included in the report. To limit the workpapers included in the report by type of signoff, mark the checkbox next to the signoff type you wish to exclude.
By default, all workpapers are included in the diagnostic report. To limit the number of workpapers selected for the report, click the Browse button to open the Select Workpapers dialog.
By default, this checkbox is unmarked, and all workpapers are included by default. To limit the workpapers included in the report to just those assigned to a particular staff member, mark the checkbox and select the staff member from the drop-down list.
Notes
- Staff member names in the drop-down list appear in alphabetical order by last name.
- You may also select Unassigned from the Workpapers Assigned To drop-down list to include in the Workpaper Diagnostic Report only those workpapers that have not been assigned to engagement staff.
Click to include only those workpapers that are currently checked out or have been disconnected.
After making changes in the dialog, click the Refresh button to update the data in the report pane.
Click to include the Workpaper Diagnostic Report in the current engagement.
