To remove UltraTax CS and/or Fixed Assets CS from your computer or from the network, follow the steps in this article.

Uninstall

1. Open the start menu.
2. Search for Control Panel and open it
3. Click the Programs and Features icon. If you are using Category View, click Programs and then select the Programs and Features option.
4. In the list of applications installed, right-click UltraTax CS or Fixed Assets CS.
5. Click the Uninstall/Change option, then follow the instructions that appear on the screen.

Remove files

The following files should be automatically deleted as part of the uninstall process:

UltraTax CS

• WinCSI\UTYY (where YY is the year of the application)
• WinCSI\LICENSES\UTYY
• Registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\WINDOWS\CURRENTVERSION\APP PATHS\UTW[YY].exe (where YY is the year of the application)

Fixed Assets CS

• WinCSI\DSW
• WinCSI\LICENSES\DWNAME.DAT
• Registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\WINDOWS\CURRENTVERSION\APP PATHS\DSW.exe

The following client and system files are not deleted as part of the uninstall process. If you want to remove client and system files, you can delete these folders manually.

• UltraTax CS client data: WinCSI\UTYYDATA (where YY is the year of the application) 
• UltraTax CS system data: WinCSI\UTYYSYS
• Fixed Asset CS depreciation data: WinCSI\DEPRDATA
• Fixed Asset CS system data: WinCSI\DEPRSYS
