You can configure on screen bookmarks and print reusable bookmark separator sheets. Users will then be able to add bookmarks to pre-defined documents when editing them as PDFs in GoFileRoom. Printed bookmark separator sheets can be used as separator sheets in a batch of documents that will be scanned.
Configuring bookmark separators
Users who have the permissions to edit PDF documents can also select a specific icon that will produce pre-defined bookmarks. The pre-defined bookmarks are specified on this page for each drop-down value.
Note: You must have Adobe Acrobat in order to create on screen bookmarks in a document.
- Choose Administration > Manage Fileroom, and click the Lists tab.
- Click the On Screen Bookmarks link.
- Select the drawer that requires pre-defined bookmarks from the Drawers field. You will only see index fields that are drop-down fields.
- Expand the field for which you will be adding bookmarks. If the field is a parent drop-down field, you will have to expand the parent values to view and select the child values.
- Select the value (usually a document type) that requires pre-defined bookmarks.
- On the right side of the screen, enter a value in the List Value field, and then click Add. You may update, remove, or clear all the values. Additionally, the bookmark list may be in alphabetical or logical order.
- When all pre-defined bookmarks are added, click Save.
Printing pre-defined bookmark separator sheets
In addition to adding pre-defined bookmarks to PDF documents, you can provide scan operators with printed bookmark separator sheets. bookmark separator sheets add bookmarks to the scanned documents when added to a batch of paper documents.
- From the Lists tab, click the On Screen Bookmarks link.
- Select the appropriate drawer from the Drawers field.
- Select the list value that contains the pre-defined bookmarks you wish to print.
- Click the Print button.
- In the Print dialog, click the Print button.
Note: Bookmark separator sheets are for use with ScanFlow only.
