Carmines, Robbins & Company, PLC takes a new course with their payroll strategy with myPay Solutions

Carmines, Robbins & Company, PLC is an accounting firm based in Newport News, Virginia. With 20 team members, the firm serves clients in the dental and medical industries. Solving problems is why Carmines, Robins & Company, PLC decided to offer payroll services for their clients.

"Our dental clients have very specialized needs. They're handling all the day-to-day needs for their business, which means after a long day they go home and try to reconcile their bank statements and do payroll. We've been helpful in setting up their payroll so we can help manage processing and ensure compliance for them."

Carmines noted that they moved towards myPay Solutions after losing their payroll specialist, which prompted them to rethink their payroll process.

"We've been using myPay Solutions to help solve our clients' payroll preparation needs for about four years now. We began by having our own payroll service and we were serving about 60 clients," Carmines says. "We had one full-time staff member dedicated to processing payroll. When they gave us their notice that they were leaving at the end of December, we decided we didn't want to find a replacement to handle these needs."

With this change in staffing, the firm decided to partner with myPay Solutions to take on both their clients' payroll and the firm's payroll as well. "As soon as we made this decision, myPay Solutions helped us transition all of our payroll clients and it has been wonderful. We use the myPay Solutions payroll processing service internally and it is so effortless," Carmines says. "As an added bonus, a lot of the responsibility for missing deadlines and penalties is completely off the table. Once I've turned our payroll information over to the myPay Solutions team, I know it's handled well."
