Change to CS Support service hours

Our Support department is closed on Friday, April 28th for a company event. However, limited Accounting CS phone support is available on that date from 9 AM - 5 PM ET due to the approaching deadline for quarterly payroll tax forms.

Adding a journal in the Setup > Journals screen

  1. Choose Setup > Journals.
  2. In the Journals screen, verify that the correct client is selected, and then click the Add button.
  3. Enter an appropriate journal name (up to 30 alphanumeric characters) in the Description field.
  4. If applicable, enter the appropriate code (up to 5 alphanumeric characters) in the Report code field.
  5. Click Enter to save the journal.

Adding a journal on the fly

  1. Choose Actions > Enter Transactions.
  2. In the Journal field, enter a unique journal name, and then press the TAB key to move to the next field.
  3. When prompted to add a new journal, click Yes.
  4. In the Journal screen, enter the appropriate report code (if applicable) for the new journal and then click Enter.
  5. If necessary, you can continue to add journals in the Journals screen. When you have finished entering journal information, click Done to return to the Enter Transactions screen.
