Change to CS Support service hours

Our Support department is closed on Friday, April 28th for a company event. However, limited Accounting CS phone support is available on that date from 9 AM - 5 PM ET due to the approaching deadline for quarterly payroll tax forms.

Use the Journals screen to set up or edit journals. You can use journals to record related types of transactions. For example, you can set up a sales journal, purchases journal, cash receipts journal, cash disbursements journal, and so forth.

Choose Setup > Journals.

The journals you set up in this screen are available for selection from the drop-down lists in the Actions > Enter Transactions screen and the Actions > Enter Trial Balance screen.

Notes

  • You can add a journal on the fly by entering a unique description in the Journal field of the Actions > Enter Transactions screen or the Actions > Enter Trial Balance screen.
  • You must have at least one journal at all times. You cannot rename or delete the General journal. If you attempt to delete a journal that contains transactions and you have set up more than one journal, the application will display a prompt giving you the option to transfer the transactions to another journal or to delete the journal and all associated transactions.
