The Seventh IAT Addenda Record (7 Record) includes the following information (position numbers are listed in parentheses)

Field Name Contents (and position numbers)
Record Type Code

The numeral 7.
(01-01) 1 numeric.

Addenda Type Code

The numeral 16.
(02-03) 2 numeric.

Receiver City & State/Province

Contains the city and, if applicable, the state or province of the employee or vendor associated with the transaction. This will be the Resident address for employees or the Mailing address for Vendors.

An asterisk (*) is the delimiter between the data elements and the backslash (\) will be the terminator following the last data element, DEXTER*MI\ for example.

Note: In some cases, a defined data element may be unknown or may not be applicable. When the missing data element occurs last, the backslash should immediately follow the last known data element - DEXTER\ for example. When the missing data element occurs before another data element, an asterisk should be used as a place holder for the missing data element followed by the next data element - *MI\ for example).

(04-38) 35 alphanumeric.

Receiver Country & Postal Code

Contains the country and postal code of the employee or vendor associated with the transaction. This will be the Resident address for employees or the Mailing address for Vendors.

An asterisk (*) is the delimiter between the data elements and the backslash (\) will be the terminator following the last data element.

Note: Where the country is known but the postal code is unavailable, the country should appear immediately followed by a backslash - US\ for example. Where the country is not available but the postal code is present, an asterisk should be used as a place holder followed by the postal code and backslash - *48130\ for example.

(39-73) 35 alphanumeric.

Reserved

Blank.
(74-87) 14 alphanumeric.

Entry Detail Sequence Number

Contains the last seven digits of the number entered in the Trace Number field in the corresponding Entry Detail Record.
(88-94) 7 numeric.
