Placing an immediate call via CS Connect

Complete the following steps to place an immediate call to the servers at our network of secure data centers.

  1. Choose File > CS Connect.
  2. In the CS Connect dialog, click the Call Now option.
  3. Mark one or more checkboxes in the Purpose of This Call group box. (Note that some of the checkboxes may not be accessible unless you are appropriately licensed and have the applicable data already queued for the next CS Connect call.
  4. Click the Call Now button.

    Note: If CS Connect receives a busy signal or no answer when attempting to connect to our servers, it will make a total of nine repeated attempts to redial over a one-hour period.

  5. After CS Connect has dialed and logged on our servers, the Connection Status dialog indicates approximately how long it will take to download any available updates for your Creative Solutions Accounting products.

Remember that while the Connection Status dialog is displayed, your computer is still connected to our servers. CS Connect automatically logs off and disconnects the call after it has finished downloading the updates, or you may click the Cancel Call button at any time to manually disconnect the call. If you accidentally disconnect the call during the downloading of the updates, CS Connect will know that the download was not completed and will not allow you to apply updates to your computer. You will need to connect our servers at a later time to download the remaining updates.
