Customizing GL transaction entry

The options available for GL transaction entry enable you to customize data entry to best suit the needs of your client.

  1. When the Transactions window is active, choose Options from the Edit menu or from the F3 or right-click context menu. (For more detailed information about using the active window or dialog, press F1 or CTRL+F1.)
  2. On the Data Entry tab of the Transactions Options dialog, you can specify options for the Date field, Description field, Vendor information (including options to speed data entry), and Posting Options.
  3. On the Columns tab of the Transaction Options dialog, the order for columns to appear in the grids on the Checks and Deposits tab and on the Journal Entries tab of the Transactions window. To move a column, highlight it and then click the Move Up or Move Down button. (Top to bottom translates as left to right.)
