The Notes Diagnostic Report provides information on the status of selected review notes. The report lists the notes for the current engagement and all folders and workpapers within the current engagement.
Choose File > Diagnostic Reports > Notes.
Special information
- Staff members can filter the notes in order to show only those notes the staff member wishes to see. The report can be filtered by selected folders/workpapers, originator of the note, workpapers assigned to a specific staff, or current status of the note.
- The Notes listview pane displays workpaper, folder, and engagement notes, along with the following information:
- Report heading (includes the client name, engagement name, and the date and time the Notes Report was generated)
- Subject of the note
- Originator of the note
- Date and time the note was created
- Current status of the note
Fields & buttons
By default, all workpapers are included in the diagnostic report. To limit the number of workpapers selected for the report, click the Browse button to open the Select Workpapers dialog.
Mark this checkbox to display the notes from the Dialog pane of the Review Notes dialog for all selected notes.
Note: By default, all notes are included in the diagnostic report.
Select the name of a staff member from the drop-down list to limit the report to only notes originated by that staff member.
Note: By default, <ALL> staff IDs assigned to the current engagement are included in the Notes Diagnostic Report.
Select the name of a staff member from the drop-down list to limit the report to only workpapers assigned to a specific staff member.
The selection will appear in the Assigned column of the Notes Diagnostic Report.
Notes
- By default, <ALL> notes are included in the Notes Diagnostic Report.
- You may also select Unassigned from the Workpapers Assigned To drop-down list to include in the Notes Diagnostic Report only those Workpapers that have not been assigned to engagement staff.
Select Open, Cleared, Reviewed, or All from the drop-down list to limit the report to only notes that have that status.
Note: By default, all notes are included in the diagnostic report.
After making changes in the dialog, click the Refresh button to update the data in the report pane.
Click to include the Notes Diagnostic Report in the current engagement.
Click to print the report or right click within the report view pane to open the context menu and choose Print.
Click this button to close the dialog.
