Important reminder!

Licenses for Payroll CS, Trial Balance CS, and Write-Up CS (but not Engagement CS) permanently expired on March 1, 2017. CSA will not include 2017 tax rates or payroll forms, so, for 2017 and beyond, you will need to process payroll in another application. We recommend Accounting CS Payroll and myPay Solutions. For more information, see the following topics.

By default, all Creative Solutions Accounting users are able to access all windows and dialogs in the application. However, you may restrict access to certain areas of the application by defining a master password and then marking areas to restrict on the Security tab or the Groups tab of the Setup > System Configuration > Administration dialog.

Special information

Entering a master password on the Firm tab allows you to select one of the following security levels:

To modify the master password, click the Modify button on the Firms tab to open the Master Password dialog and change the master password.

The master password and the Security settings that are user-defined on the Groups tab and Security tab of the Setup > System Configuration > Administration dialog are intended to limit access to sensitive client information. However, client passwords can be assigned either from the File > New Client dialog or from the File > Client Properties dialog. In addition, one of the options in the Security dialog enables a master password user to restrict others' ability to assign new client passwords.
