Scenario

If you are printing to FileCabinet CS using the FileCabinet CS print driver or are trying to drag and drop a PDF into FileCabinet CS, you may see this error.

When you print to FileCabinet CS, the application checks to see there is currently a print job printing. If FileCabinet CS detects a print job, it displays this message when you start the next print job, so that you know that it is not frozen. However, in some situations this may not be the case, and an error has occurred.

Error

FileCabinet CS is processing a large print job. Please wait.

Solutions

If you believe an error has occurred, the following tasks may resolve the issue.

  • Choose Help > Repair, and click the Misc tab. If the Reset Print Jobs button is enabled, this indicates that documents that were printed to FileCabinet CS did not print successfully and are still in a pending state. Click the Reset Print Jobs button and then re-print these documents to bring them into FileCabinet CS.
  • In Adobe Reader, choose Edit > Preferences > Security (enhanced) and clear the Enable Protected Mode at startup checkbox.

Note: An outdated version of Adobe Reader can prevent files from being properly deleted after printing, and this may cause FileCabinet CS to display the message above. To resolve this, upgrade your Adobe Reader version to the most recent version. For more information, see Adobe Reader and Acrobat considerations for CS Professional Suite.

  • FileCabinet CS may not have deleted the temporary files properly after printing them. Use either method below to delete temporary files.
    • If Microsoft Outlook encountered an error when printing multiple documents to FileCabinet CS, and you know that you are not currently printing to FileCabinet CS, navigate to X:\WinCSI\FcabSys\TmpPrn (where X represents the drive where FileCabinet CS is installed). Open the folder that corresponds to your login name, open the Temp folder, delete any files that are listed, and then try to print to FileCabinet CS again.
    • Navigate to C:\Windows\Temp and delete the files in this folder.
  • In Virtual Office CS and SaaS this error can be caused by a hidden dialog screen.  Check the taskbar to see if adobe reader can be clicked on.  If a message appears, click OK then close Adobe Reader.  Then click cancel on the processing a large print job  message to open the print dialog window.
