Denying FileCabinet CS access to data in other applications

In some CS Professional Suite applications, you can deny FileCabinet CS access to a client's data.

Denying access to UltraTax CS data

  1. In UltraTax CS, choose File > New Client or open a client and choose File > Client Properties.
  2. In the New Client or Client Properties dialog, click the Advanced Properties button.
  3. If your security configuration requires it, enter the master password and click the Continue button to enable the fields in this tab.
  4. Mark the Deny FileCabinet CS access to client data checkbox.
  5. Click OK.
  6. Click OK again to close the New Client or Client Properties dialog.

Denying access to CSA data

  1. In Creative Solutions Accounting, choose File > New Client or open a client database and choose File > Client Properties.
  2. For new clients only: In the Add > Remove Modules dialog, mark checkboxes for the appropriate modules and click OK to continue.
  3. In the New Client or Client Properties dialog, click the Advanced Properties button.
  4. In the Advanced Properties dialog, click the Restrict Access tab.
  5. If your security configuration requires it, enter the master password and click the Continue button to enable the fields in this tab.
  6. Mark the Deny FileCabinet CS access to client data checkbox.
  7. Click OK.
  8. Click OK again to close the New Client or Client Properties dialog.

To return to the default setting and allow FileCabinet CS to access this client's data, return to the Advanced Properties dialog and clear the Deny FileCabinet CS access to client data checkbox.
