Choosing document or application folders for NetStaff CS or NetClient CS

Show expandable text

For drawers that are designated as contributors to NetClient CS, you can set up FileCabinet CS to transmit the contents of specified folders to NetClient CS for use with Document Presentation. For example, if you create a document folder called "Portal documents," you can designate the contents of that folder for transmission to NetClient CS for all NetClient CS-enabled drawers.

You can also choose application folders, such as UltraTax CS or Accounting CS for transmission to NetClient CS. All documents contained in those folders for NetClient CS-enabled drawers will be transmitted to NetClient CS during the next call to CS Connect.

Note: With the exception of Adobe PDF documents, you cannot transmit embedded objects to NetClient CS.

Choosing FileCabinet CS documents for transfer to NetClient CS portals

(approx. 2.5 minutes)

Use the following procedure to set up FileCabinet CS to transmit the contents of specified folders to NetClient CS for use with Document Presentation.

  1. Choose Setup > System Configuration.
  2. Click the NetClient CS tab.
  3. Mark the checkbox for each document and/or application folder you wish to designate for transmission to NetStaff CS or NetClient CS.
  4. Click OK.

Note: The NetClient CS tab is available only for users whose firms are licensed for NetFirm CS.

The NetClient CS folder designation is a global setting. If you enable a folder using this procedure, that folder is enabled for every drawer that is designated as a contributor to NetClient CS.
