Running the desktop setup (network installation only)

If you installed Fixed Assets CS on a network, run the desktop setup application on each workstation to add Fixed Assets CS to the Start menu and to install a shortcut icon to Fixed Assets CS on each workstation's desktop.

To run the desktop setup application, from each workstation perform the following steps.

  1. Verify you are logged in to your computer as an administrator.
  2. Close all open applications.
  3. Click Start in the Windows taskbar and choose Run.
  4. In the Run dialog, enter the command:


    where X and folder represent the server location where you installed the application and license files. For example, if you installed the application and license files in F:\WINAPPS\WINCSI, you would enter F:\WINAPPS\WINCSI\DSW\DESKTOP\SETUP.

  5. Click OK.
  6. Follow the prompts on the screen.
