Custom Reports dialog

Show expandable text

In addition to the standard forms and reports that are available in Fixed Assets CS, you can define custom reports, which can also include special values and formulas. From this dialog, you can select specific assets to be included in or excluded from the custom report, or choose the presentation options, custom report layout options, and page layout options for custom reports.

To add, copy, edit, or delete custom reports, choose Setup > Custom Reports.

Note: Depending on your security configuration, you might be prompted to enter the master password before you can open the Custom Reports dialog.

  • You can create an unlimited number of custom reports in Fixed Assets CS.
  • When designing a report, you can define the fields to be included, the order in which they appear, and how a column should be calculated by the application.
  • You can use the treatment variable categories (T1, T2, and T3) to include a field's values for up to three different custom treatments.
  • Each custom report automatically shifts from portrait to landscape format as necessary when you specify additional columns for the report or choose a larger font size. When the width of the report layout exceeds the size for printing in landscape format, you will receive a message stating that the report will be available for export through the Utilities > Export Asset Data dialog and the File > Print dialog.
  • All custom reports are available for printing for all clients (as well as for all computers running Fixed Assets CS on a network) and are listed in the Custom tab in the Print dialog.
