Follow these steps to add links to network files from GoFileRoom. For example, you can add a backup of a QuickBook file for your client or a website that your client use.
- Select the Add Documents link in the GoFileRoom toolbar.
- Specify index values for the link.
- Select Add File Link.
- Select Choose File, locate and open the file you want to link, then select OK.
Notes
- File links appear in GoFileRoom as records and are indicated by icons such as on the Classic Search screen and on the Document Search screen.
- You can manage File links can as you do all other documents stored in GoFileRoom but with limited functionality.
- File links in GoFileRoom can be copied, moved, re-indexed, deleted, and edited.
- Editing of networked file links requires the installation of the latest version of the GoFileRoom Add-In for Adobe Acrobat, available from the GoFileRoom Add-Ins screen.
