Define Graphs dialog

Use the Define Graphs dialog to select graph styles and to select the plan data you want to present in graphs. Click the Preview button when adding or editing a graph to view the graph in a separate Preview Graph window. When you change settings in this dialog with the Preview Graph window open, the graph will be updated as well, allowing you to immediately see the effect of your change.

To open this dialog, choose Reports > Define Graphs.

Notes

  • To enable the options in this dialog, click Add button to create a new graph, or click the Edit button to modify an existing graph.
  • Note that some of the tabs that are accessible from this dialog are only available when certain types of graphs are selected. Click the Graph Types button to select a graph.

This field displays the name of the graph highlighted in the Available Graphs pane. To enable this field, click Add button to create a new graph, or click the Edit button to modify the graph highlighted in the list.

Click this button to open the Graph Type dialog, in which you can choose one of the following styles for your graph.

  • Line
  • Bar
  • Horizontal bar
  • Area
  • Point
  • Pie
  • Fast Line

You can also select to display the graph as a three-dimensional image by marking the 3D checkbox.

Click this button to open the Define Source dialog, in which you can select the data variables you want to include on your graph.

This pane lists all variables currently included in the selected graph. To change the order in which the variables are displayed in the graph, highlight a variable and click the up and down arrow button. To change graph properties for a specific variable, highlight a variable and change the properties in the Graph Properties group box.

Click this button to move the highlighted graph variable up one position in the list. This alters the order in which the variables are plotted on the selected graph.
