Use the state tabs at the bottom of the Apportionment Information window to enter state-specific apportionment information. State tabs appear only if you have added states to the return and if additional apportionment information is required.

To enter state-specific apportionment information, click the appropriate state tab at the bottom of the Apportionment Information window.

Fields & buttons

General information group box

UltraTax CS uses the information you enter in this group box to complete form fields and answer questions that are not addressed in the Apportionment spreadsheet.

Interest on sales of tangible property

UltraTax CS uses the information you enter in these fields to complete the Nebraska and Total fields on the Interest on sales of tangible property line on Nebraska Schedule I.

Alternate apportionment group box

Alternate apportionment ratio

Enter a percentage in this field if an alternate apportionment method was approved by the State Tax Commissioner. UltraTax CS marks the Alternate method checkbox on Form 1120N and transfers the alternate apportionment ratio to Schedule I.

Description of alternate method

Enter detail in the statement dialog for the calculation of the alternate ratio being used.

Transportation revenue passing through Nebraska

Enter the total revenue from shipments passing through Nebraska. UltraTax CS automatically includes the revenue for Nebraska on the Sales delivered or shipped to purchasers in Nebraska: shipped from outside Nebraska line on Schedule I based on the ratio of Nebraska property miles to total property miles traveled.

Mobile property miles

Enter the total and Nebraska mobile property miles traveled by shipments passing through Nebraska. UltraTax CS uses this information to determine the ratio to apply to the total revenue from shipments passing through Nebraska.
