1040-PA: Electronic filing - Pennsylvania forms

Fixed Assets and UltraTax CS 2023 help is now on Help and Support. We're still moving articles, but you can find most content for the 2023 tax year there. Continue using the Help & How-To Center for tax years 2022 and older.

The Pennsylvania Department of Revenue support electronic filing of the following forms:

  • Form PA-40 · Form PA-40X (for tax years 2012 and later)
  • Form PA-40ES (Estimates) · Form Rev-276 (Extension)
  • Philadelphia Net Profits Tax (NPT)
  • Philadelphia Business Income and Receipts Tax (BIRT)
  • Philadelphia School Income Tax (SIT)

The Pennsylvania Department of Revenue does not support the following forms for electronic filing for third party vendors (tax software vendors):

  • Form PA-1000 (Property tax or rent rebate claim)
  • Local earned income tax (EIT) return
  • Philadelphia Employee Earnings tax
Notes
  • All Philadelphia returns do not support electronic PDF attachments.
  • Multiple units of Philadelphia Forms NPT, BIRT, and SIT can be filed electronically.
