Complete the following steps to log status events for multiple UltraTax CS clients simultaneously. You can sort client lists in the Open Client, Select Clients to Print, Client Status, and Client Listing dialogs using logged status events and can generate a Client Status Report that will list the logged events for the selected client(s).

  1. Select Utilities > Client Status to open the Client Status dialog.
  2. Click the Log Multiple Clients tab.
  3. In the Clients available to select pane on the left, highlight the clients for whom you want to log status events and then click the Select button to move the highlighted clients to the Clients selected pane on the right.
  4. From the Event drop-down list, select the event you want to log for the selected clients.
  5. If desired, modify the date and/or time using the Date and/or Time fields.
  6. Click the Log Now button to log the selected event for the selected clients.
  7. Click Done to close the Client Status dialog.
Tips
  • Click the word Client ID, Name, Entity, or the status event clock icon in the title bar of the list to sort the client listing by that characteristic.
  • Use the Focus group box to limit the clients who appear in the list by entity type, preparer/reviewer/staff, and/or client status.
  • To modify the date and/or time an event was logged for a client, open that client's return, press F5 to open the Client Status dialog, then the highlight the event in the Event History list on the Log Event tab and click the Edit button. Enter the desired date and/or time in the Date and/or Time fields.
  • To remove an event that you previously logged for a client, open that client's return, press F5 to open the Client Status dialog, then highlight that event in the Event History list and click the Delete button.
  • To configure status warnings for specific events, use the Discourage Access button (opened from the Setup > Office Configuration > Status tab) . You can also set these warnings to require the master password or honor security privileges to open the client.
