Specifying or modifying the BNA data drive and/or path

Follow these steps to specify or modify the drive and/or path where the UltraTax/1040 client's data will export into BNA. Your drive and path specifications apply to all UltraTax/1040 clients.

  1. Choose Utilities > Third Party > BNA (Export).
  2. Click the Change Path button to open the File Locations dialog.
  3. Click the Other option.
  4. Select BNA client data in the list.
  5. Click the Modify Location button.
  6. In the Modify Location dialog, navigate to the appropriate drive and path.
  7. Click OK to return to the File Locations dialog.
  8. Click OK again to return to the BNA Export dialog.

Notes

  • You must follow these steps if this is the first time you are exporting data into BNA or the location displayed in the BNA client data location field in the BNA Export dialog is not correct.
  • The BNA client data location does not need to be updated after the first-time setup. However, if you want to export UltraTax/1040 client data into a different directory or to a different disk drive, you must change the BNA client data location using these steps.
