Use this dialog to choose the report you want to print. After clicking the option for the desired report and setting any additional parameters (such as sort criteria), click Continue to open the Select Clients for Report dialog.
To open this dialog, choose Utilities > Client Listing Reports.
Fields & buttons
Click the General Return Information option to select the General Return Information report, which contains the following information for each UltraTax CS client you select: client ID, name, products, TIN, PRP code, fiscal year end, date on which the return is due, whether the client is a new client; whether the client is marked for electronic filing or an amended return, and the amount due or the refund.
Use the Sort field next to the General Return Information option to arrange the report by various criteria. Select the desired criterion from the Sort drop-down list to organize the list accordingly. Note that the Sort field is disabled until you click the General Return Information option.
Click the Client Communication option to select the Client Communications report, which contains all information entered in the Client Communications dialog, such as client ID, name, entity type, email address, who should be contacted via email, whether the client wants to receive electronic filing acknowledgments, return delivery method, organizer delivery method, and the PDF password.
Use the Sort field next to the Client Communications option to arrange the report by client ID, client name, entity type, email address, return delivery, organizer delivery, email to, and email ELF ack. Note that the Sort field is disabled until you click the Client Communications option.
Click the Status Summary option to select the Status Summary report, which lists the number and percentage of UltraTax CS clients logged for each user-defined status event.
Note: To set up custom status events, choose Setup > Office Configuration, and click the Status tab.
Click the Client Totals option to select the Client Totals report, which lists the total number of returns for the current data location by federal and state application. This report will help you easily see how many of each type of return you prepare.
Click the Client Family option to select the Client Family report, which contains the following information for each UltraTax CS client you select: client ID, name, entity, fiscal year end, family type, and the parent's TIN.
Notes
- If a selected client is part of a family, all family members will be displayed as part of the family in the Client Family report.
- If a selected client is not part of a family, the client will not be listed in the Client Family report.
Click the Client Status History option to select the Client Status History report, which contains the following information for each UltraTax CS client you select: client ID; name; TIN; event and status; scheduled date and time; logged date and time; and the preparer, reviewer, or staff member who either logged the event or for whom the event was scheduled.
Use the Sort field next to the Client Status History option to arrange the report by client name, client ID, TIN, or current status. Note that the Sort field is disabled until you click the Client Status History option.
Use the checkboxes below the Client Status History option to include status events scheduled and logged by users as well as application events logged by UltraTax CS.
Mark this checkbox to include any user-defined status events logged for a client in the Client Status History report.

Mark this checkbox to include application events that are automatically logged by UltraTax CS in the Client Status History report.
Note: This field is disabled until you click the Client Status History option in this dialog.
Click the User Activity option to select the User Activity report, which contains the following information for each UltraTax CS client you select: the user who performed a specific activity, client ID, name, entity type, date and time of the activity, and the name of the activity.
Use the Sort field next to the User Activity option to arrange the report by user, client ID, name, entity type, date/time, or event. Note that the Sort field is disabled until you click the User Activity option.
Click the Client ELF Summary option to select the Client ELF Summary report, which contains the following information for each UltraTax CS client you select: client ID; client name; TIN; applications; the date the electronic file was created, transmitted, rejected, and accepted; preparer; and current client status.
Use the Sort field next to the Client ELF Summary option to arrange the report by client ID, name, TIN, or status. Note that the Sort field is disabled until you click the Client ELF Summary option.
