To modify the Book treatment (or any other treatment) to follow IRS Notice 2000-4 and Reg. 1.168(i)-6, perform the following steps.
- Open the Asset List window for an activity.
- Choose Setup > Treatments.
- Select the Book treatment.
- Click the Options button.
- In the Calculation tab of the Treatment Options dialog, select the desired option from the drop-down list in the Like kind exchange field. For information on the options available, see the Calculation tab overview.
