With the Excel Export utility, you can quickly and efficiently export partner information to a Microsoft Excel workbook. You must export partner information before you can import the information into the UltraTax CS/1065 Partner Information, Allocations, and Changes of Ownership windows in Partner Data Entry.

  1. Open the UltraTax CS/1065 client that contains the partner data you want to export to Excel.
  2. Choose Utilities > 1065 Excel Export.
  3. In the Save in field, enter the path for the Excel file location.
  4. Enter a file name for the Excel file in the File name field. The default file name is the same as the client ID.

Be sure to use unique file names if you export both partner and apportionment information for the same client.

  5. In the Information group box, click the Partner data option.
  6. Click the Export button.

    Notes

    • If the Excel file name you specified in step 4 is currently open in Excel, you will be prompted to close the file before you export the data.
    • If the Excel workbook file already exists, you will be prompted to confirm replacement of the file.
    • To enter or modify the information in the Excel worksheet, follow the required guidelines.
