Setting options for the UltraTax CS Home Page

The UltraTax CS Home Page provides links to frequently used functions and custom locations and displays information regarding recent activity. By default, the Home Page opens when you start UltraTax CS. However, you can choose to display the Home Page when other windows or dialogs are not open, or you can choose to never display the Home Page. To specify when to display the Home Page, to set how many clients are displayed in the Recent Activity list, and to enter your own links to websites or other resources, complete the following steps.

  1. Choose Setup > User Preferences, then click the Home Page tab.
  2. To determine when UltraTax CS displays the Home Page, choose the desired option from the Display the Home Page drop-down list.
  3. Use the Include the most recent [n] clients in Recent Activity field to set the number of clients shown on the Home Page.
  4. To add, edit, or remove custom links to websites or other resources, click the Custom Links button. In the Custom Links dialog, click the Add, Edit, or Delete button and use the fields provided to make the desired changes. Click OK to close the Custom Links dialog once you are finished. Icons fro all custom URLs or links to local or network files that you set up display in the left pane of the UltraTax CS Home Page.
  5. Click OK to close the User Preferences dialog.
