Internal Employees: Submit feedback
Important reminder!
Licenses for Payroll CS, Trial Balance CS, and Write-Up CS (but not Engagement CS) permanently expired on March 1, 2017. CSA will not include 2017 tax rates or payroll forms, so, for 2017 and beyond, you will need to process payroll in another application. We recommend Accounting CS Payroll and myPay Solutions. For more information, see the following topics.
Review the following areas within the Bank Reconciliation window and make any changes that might be required.
- Have any checks been recorded in the Edit > Initial Open Items dialog that should have been recorded in the Transactions window instead?
Transactions in the Initial Open Items dialog are included in the bank reconciliation but do not affect the GL account balances.
- Are any checks appearing in the Edit > Assign Orphan Checks dialog?
If so, you need to transfer them to the correct bank reconciliation. For details, see Edit > Assign Orphan Checks.
- Have the checks listed on the Checks and Other Debits tab been cleared for the correct amounts?
- Are there open checks listed for this checkbook that should actually have been recorded for a different checkbook?
- Have any checks missing from the Checks and Other Debits tab for this checkbook been mistakenly recorded for a different checkbook?
- Have any checks or other debits belonging to this period been mistakenly recorded in a future GL period?
Future-period items do not pull into bank reconciliation. Check the latest period ending date in the Client Properties dialog, or print a General Ledger report with a data range of Current Year (not Current Year-to-Date) to see whether any transactions had been recorded using the "Enter Future Period Transactions" function.
Next step: Verify the current-period checks and other debit transactions
