On January 14, 2020, Microsoft will end support for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 / 2008 R2, which means that these environments will no longer be supported for Thomson Reuters' products and solutions. Microsoft is providing several options for migrating off of Windows 7 and Server 2008 / 2008 R2, including upgrade options to newer environments.
Ingram Micro referral program
In an effort to make your purchasing process and transition smooth, Thomson Reuters has partnered with Ingram Micro - an authorized distributor and indirect provider that Microsoft recommends for its products.
Ingram Micro is offering Thomson Reuters customers a simplified purchasing process for Windows 10 Enterprise that includes:
- A full upgrade to Windows 10 Enterprise (on existing or new machines) from Windows 7 Professional or Windows 8.1 Professional.
- Full-service migration
- Continuing system support
- Billing support
While this offer is ideal for firms looking to purchase multiple licenses to Windows 10 Enterprise, you are not limited to what you can purchase. Ingram also offers contracts for other Microsoft products, including Office 365, Azure Cloud Services, etc.
