Alerts and notices

Use the Details tab to record additional details about the deposit. For example, you may want to record the exact description and amount of each individual item included in the deposit, or you may want to enter the amounts deposited by payment type, such as cash, check, and/or credit card. Such details allow you to split the total deposit for your own records and for the items available to clear in the bank account reconciliation.

Choose Setup > Transaction Templates. In the Transaction Detail section, select Deposit from the Type field, and then click the Details tab.

Fields & buttons

Use the grid in the Details tab to record the breakdown of the deposit details for deposits created from this template. For example, you could split the deposit by cash, checks, and credit card payments.
