The Creative Solutions Accounting software allows you to customize several different options related to saving and printing reports.

Choose Setup > User Preferences. In the User Preferences dialog, click the Print tab. Click an individual option to change its current setting.

Note: The settings in this dialog are global (not client-specific). For a network installation, each workstation can have its own individual settings.

Options

  • Print date on reports. To print the current system date on all reports, mark this checkbox.
  • Print time on reports. To print the current time on all reports, mark this checkbox.
  • Alternate background color on reports. To have the program print all reports with alternating white and light gray background colors, mark this checkbox. Selecting this option may help to make lengthy lists easier to read.
  • Print report option summary. To have the program print a summary of the currently selected print options at the end of each report, mark this checkbox.
  • Save report options. To save report option selections for the active client as marked in Options dialog for a report (when accessed either from the File > Print dialog or from the Utilities > Export dialog), mark this checkbox. Otherwise, all print options return to their default settings when you close the Print dialog or the Export dialog.

    Notes

    • All report options are client-specific.
    • Print options for Report Profiles are always saved, regardless of whether or not this option is marked.
  • Return to the print dialog after previewing. To return to the Print dialog (rather than to the main window) after previewing a report or statement, mark this checkbox.
  • Remove borders on reports. A line-rule border normally prints on each report. To suppress the border, mark this checkbox.
  • Staple documents when sending to FileCabinet. To combine all documents that are contained in a profile so that they appear in FileCabinet CS as a single document, mark this checkbox. Note, however, that if more than one profile is printed at the same time, the profiles are not combined.
  • Sort report list alphabetically. To sort the report list in the Print dialog alphabetically, mark this checkbox.
  • Staple payroll tax forms when sending to FileCabinet. To combine all documents contained in a single payroll tax processing product so they appear in FileCabinet CS as one document, mark this checkbox.
