You can create blank client folders in FileCabinet CS for clients in other CS Professional Suite applications. Click the following links for procedures on populating FileCabinet CS.
Note: You can restrict FileCabinet CS access to clients of your choosing in some CS Professional Suite applications.
From UltraTax CS
- From the UltraTax CS Help menu, choose Repair.
- Click the Misc tab.
- Click the FileCabinet CS option.
- Mark the Create an UltraTax CS folder in FileCabinet CS clients checkbox in the Populate CS Applications section, if desired.
- Select the desired FileCabinet CS data location from the FileCabinet CS field. This appears as a read-only field if your firm has only one data location.
- Click the Populate button.
From Fixed Assets CS
- From the Help menu, choose Repair.
- Click the Clients tab.
- Click the Populate FileCabinet CS button.
From Practice CS
- Choose File > Export and choose clients or staff.
- In the Export Clients or Export Staff screen, mark the FileCabinet CS checkbox and mark the checkboxes for the clients or staff you want to export to FileCabinet CS.
- Optional: To create a Practice CS folder in each new FileCabinet CS client drawer, mark the Create a Practice CS folder in FileCabinet Clients checkbox.
- Click the Export Selected button.
