Use the Image tab of the Asset Detail dialog to acquire an image for the current asset or to remove an image from the current asset.

To open this tab, click the Add or the Modify button in the Asset List window, and then click the Image tab in the Asset Detail dialog.

Inventory module users: To open this tab from within the Inventory module (if licensed), open an active inventory, choose Edit > Add Asset, and click the Image tab.

To view an image, select a thumbnail image from the list.

Note: If images have not been assigned to this asset, click the Acquire button to acquire an image.

Click this button to open the Acquire Image dialog. Using this dialog, you can acquire an image from any TWAIN or WIA-compliant device (such as a scanner or digital camera), from a file, or from the Image Library for the current client.

Notes

  • All images acquired through an asset's Image tab are automatically added to the Image Library.
  • You can acquire the following image types into Fixed Assets CS: BMP, ICO, JFIF, JIF, JPEG, JPG, PBM, PGM, PCD, PCX, PNG, PPM, RAS, TARGA, TGA, TIF, and TIFF.

Click this button to open the Print Image Report dialog where you can print the currently selected image, along with other information that is specific to the current asset.

Note: This button is available only if an image (or images) have been assigned to the current asset.

Click this button to remove the currently selected image from the current asset.

Note: Removing an image from an asset does not remove the image from the Image Library or from any other assets to which it is assigned.

Displays the image that is assigned to the current asset. If multiple images are assigned to the current asset, select the image you want to view from the list of thumbnail images.

If you are licensed for the Fixed Assets Inventory module, mark this checkbox to include the selected image on the current asset's Asset Detail Worksheet in the Fixed Assets Inventory module.

Note: Only one image can be selected to appear on the Asset Detail Worksheet.
