Use the state tabs at the bottom of the Apportionment Information window to enter state-specific apportionment information. State tabs appear only if you have added states to the client and if additional apportionment information is required.

To enter state-specific apportionment information, click the appropriate state tab at the bottom of the Apportionment Information window.

Fields & buttons

General information group box

UltraTax CS uses information you enter in this group box to complete form fields and answer questions that are not addressed in the Apportionment Information spreadsheet.

Dividends

UltraTax CS transfers information from these fields to the Rhode Island and Total fields on the Dividends line of the Form 1065 RI Apportionment Worksheet and Form RI-1065, Page 2.

Net capital gain

UltraTax CS transfers information from these fields to the Rhode Island and Total fields on the Net capital gain line of the Form 1065 RI Apportionment Worksheet and Form RI-1065, Page 2.

Ordinary gain

UltraTax CS transfers information from these fields to the Rhode Island and Total fields on the Ordinary gain line of the Form 1065 RI Apportionment Worksheet and Form RI-1065, Page 2.

Income exempt from federal taxation

UltraTax CS transfers information from these fields to the Rhode Island and Total fields on the Income exempt from federal taxation line of the Form 1065 RI Apportionment Worksheet and Form RI-1065, Page 2.

Alternate apportionment group box

Manufacturer apportioning based on double weighted sales

Mark this checkbox if the taxpayer is a qualified manufacturer and has elected under Rhode Island General Law 44-11-14.6 to apportion based on 25 percent of the property factor, 25 percent of the payroll factor, and 50 percent of the sales factor.
