The first step in preparing organizer packages using Client Organizer is to proforma the following items from the prior-year version of UltraTax/1040.
- Client data
- Customized organizer documents
- Print collations
- Customized data-entry displays
- Customized electronic delivery passwords
To schedule client appointments via the client status system for use with Client Organizer processing, UltraTax CS has a two-way transfer of appointment information entered in Screen Contact (both tax and organizer data entry) with the status system. Once you set the "Appointment Event" in the Office Configuration > Status tab, next year's appointment information entered in the prior-year version of UltraTax/1040 will automatically populate the client status system during the proforma process.
Notes
- Email addresses proforma from the prior-year's application. The email addresses can be viewed in the Client Communications dialog. To open this dialog, choose Setup > Client Communications.
- You must enter email addresses for those clients whose email addresses did not proforma from the prior year.
