Scenario

You may see this error while working in the Client Properties dialog in UltraTax CS.

Cause

When you download a PRP code, it appears in the Client Properties for the client. If you change the return type or cilent TIN, the PRP code there becomes invalid and the error message appears.

Solution

In the Client Properties dialog, clear out the PRP code field using the DELETE key on your keyboard. You'll need to do this on both the federal and state tabs.

Once the PRP code field is blank, the error message shouldn't reappear. However, if you need to file a return for this client, you might need to download a new PRP code.

If you need a refund for a PRP code, use the PRP code refund request form.
