Bank Feeds - Link Account dialog or Bank Feeds - Update Account dialog

Show expandable text

Before you can start using Bank Feeds, the account holder must first grant you permission to access their account information. Use the Bank Feeds - Link Account dialog to request that the account holder link their account to Accounting CS so that you can access their data.

To access the Bank Feeds - Link Account dialog, click the Link Account button in either of the following locations.

If the account holder has already linked their account, but the information is outdated or needs to be updated for any reason (for example, the password or multi-factor authentication questions need to be updated), use the Bank Feeds - Update Account dialog to request that the account holder update their account information.

The Bank Feeds - Update Account dialog opens automatically when you click the Retrieve Data button in the Bank Feeds portlet and Accounting CS determines that the account information needs to be updated.

After the account holder successfully registers and links their account or updates their account, the application sends a return notification email to let you know that the account is ready for Bank Feeds.

Fields & buttons

Select the account holder's email address for the application to send them an email requesting that they register and link their account. The drop-down list for this field includes the email address entered on the Main tab of the Setup > Clients screen, as well as all contacts for whom an email address was entered in the Additional Contacts dialog (accessed by clicking the Ellipsis button in the Additional Contacts section of the Setup > Clients > Main tab).

If the appropriate email address is not in the list, click the Add a contact link next to the drop-down list.

Enter the email address for the staff member who should be notified when the account holder has finished linking their account. By default, the application enters the email address for the staff member who is logged in to Accounting CS, but you can change the email address if necessary.
