Our Support department is closed on Friday, April 28th for a company event. However, limited Accounting CS phone support is available on that date from 9 AM - 5 PM ET due to the approaching deadline for quarterly payroll tax forms.

For payroll compliance (annually licensed)

Use the Process Electronic Forms screen to send and manage electronic forms processed via payroll tax form printing or agent check printing. You can preview electronic forms prior to transmission, update transmission information for the forms, and remove selected forms.

Notes

  • You can filter the data that is displayed by using the filter at the top of the screen.
  • The application queues electronic files and displays them in this screen only if the Filing copy checkbox is marked in the Print dialog when you process the payroll tax forms. 

Choose Actions > Process Electronic Forms

Fields & buttons

You can filter the data that is displayed on this screen by using the filter. For information about filtering data in screens, see the Searching and filtering data procedure.

Mark the checkboxes for the clients and forms that you want to preview or process. Right-click in the grid for options to select/deselect all forms in the grid or to select/deselect forms that you have highlighted in the grid.

Clicking the Preview Selected button opens the Output File Preview dialog where you can preview and print the forms you have selected.

Marking this checkbox causes the application to create separate reports for each client when they are previewed or printed, so that they can be sent to client-specific FileCabinet CS drawers.

Click the Manage Electronic Forms button to open the Manage Electronic Forms dialog, where you can preview and check the status of transmitted electronic forms.

Click this button to open the Transmission Information dialog, where you can enter or change information that is used when sending electronic files.

This text displays the number of forms that are currently selected for transmission.

Mark this checkbox if you do not want to bill clients for processing these forms. If this checkbox is not marked, the form processing fees will be assessed when you click the Transmit Forms button.

Choose Remove Selected to remove the selected forms.

Click this button to send files for the selected clients and forms. A copy of the file is stored in the location specified in the Electronic/Internet/Magnetic field in the File Creation tab of the Setup > File Locations dialog.

This button is inactive when there are no forms selected or when the Require electronic file transmission from file preview checkbox is marked in the Preferences tab of the Setup > Firm Information > Firm screen.
