On July 12, 2022, Microsoft ended support for SQL Server 2012 and earlier. Therefore, as of the v.2022.2.0 Workpapers CS release, your firm should have SQL Server 2014 or higher installed on the servers that run Workpapers CS. See Discontinued support for Microsoft SQL Server 2012 for details and steps you can take to continue using Workpapers CS without interruption.

Note: This change does not affect firms using Workpapers CS on Virtual Office or Software as a Service (SaaS).

Trial Balance

  • We have updated the tax codes that are available for selection in the Setup > Chart of Accounts screen and the Actions > Enter Trial Balance screen for integration with the 2022 version of UltraTax CS and GoSystem Tax RS.
  • We have updated the Tax Code Listing for the 2022 tax year.

Reports

  • We have updated the Tax Code Worksheet accounting report for the 2022 tax year.

Note: If your firm has modified the predefined version of a report, Workpapers CS will not overwrite your existing report with an updated version. If this is the case, you will need to make the necessary changes to your customized report manually, or you will need to restore the latest predefined version using the Report Designer. To do the latter, select the report from the Reports List pane in the Report Designer and then choose File > Restore Default.
