General

  • We've made several performance related improvements:
    • Routing workflows: We've optimized the length of time it takes to change the selection in drop-down menus, pausing, and latency/slow to populate.
    • To improve your overall experience, we've made several enhancements to underlying processes that will optimize and better scale. This work contributes to improving your efficiencies and overall stability during peak usage timeframes and leading up to critical due dates.
    • We've optimized My Recent Documents as some users had reported latency and/or failures to populate this resource with information.
  • We've added Quick Reference Guides to the Help & How-To Center. Searching for the key words "quick reference" will result in valuable resources such as:
    • [product-name] Quick Reference Guide
    • System Administration Quick Reference
    • ClientFlow Quick Reference Guide
    • FirmFlow Quick Reference
  • We've updated the Lookup List Sync Utility from MSXML 4.0 to MSXML 6.0 which addresses a potential security vulnerability. Go to Installing the Lookup List Sync Utility to download the new install package (ZIP).
  • We've resolved the error message “Microsoft Excel cannot access the file” when working with links in Microsoft Excel. Updating values, editing links, or adding new links previously presented an error when certain users attempted to make changes.

Homepage notifications and alerts

We've made improvements to My Alerts to offer enhanced accuracy and control on notifications rules that you may have setup. When configuring an alert, the selection "in the drawer" (in step 2 conditions or step 3 exceptions), the Property > Description > Containing Values field allows you to indicate text and the scenarios that will trigger an alert. Alerts will now generate if the Document’s Description matches any of the Containing Values in the Notification Rule.

API’s and automation tools

In the last few years, Thomson Reuters has put a lot of resources into supporting, promoting, and creating our open API environment – both for customers to use and for third-party companies to enhance their service capabilities. New resource: These API development roadmaps highlight the API features that are, or will soon be, available for GoFileRoom and other Thomson Reuters tax and accounting applications.

API issues resolved:

  • The Training Report by Deliverable API lastUpdated field now updates for all situations when a workflow is routed or updated. Previously, the lastUpdated field did not always update. We've corrected to update the modification date when routing is performed.
  • You can now create a workflow using the CreateWorkflow API. Previously, when creating a workflow using the CreateWorkflow API and if missing required header fields, it was possible to receive a false "Access Denied" error message.
