  2. Choose Administration > Manage Users & Groups.
  3. On the Users tab, select the appropriate user.

Notes

  • Passwords must be between 8 and 255 characters in length.
  • Passwords must contain at least one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, one number, and one symbol.
  • Passwords cannot match any of your previous ten passwords.
  • Passwords cannot contain a previous password. (For example, if your previous password was password1, password1 will not be accepted but password2 or password10 will be accepted.)
  • If GoFileRoom administrators change passwords for all users in the Administration > Manage Configurations > Security tab, the following applies.
    • Any password policy changes made in the Security tab will take effect the next time a user attempts to login. If the existing password no longer complies with the updated policy, they will be prompted to change their password.
    • Any integration with other applications (such as UltraTax, Practice CS, etc.) that relies on the user's GoFileRoom credentials will not function properly until the password is in compliance with the new policy.
    • Password policies also apply to any service accounts your firm utilizes (for instance, the upload@your_firm_domain.com account). For details on changing your firms upload account, see Manage your firm's upload account.
    • If a GoFileRoom administrator changes the password for an owner or authorized user of a restricted drawer, the user's access to the restricted drawer is removed. A restricted drawer owner can add the user as an owner or authorized user. For details see, Managing authorized users of restricted drawers.

Contact our Support team if an administrator is not available to reset your password.
