GoFileRoom

General

  • On prior versions, when using Frozen Columns in the Document Search display, some text would extend over the next column. This made the presentation difficult to read. We've addressed this display issue and text is now truncated to the column's width.
  • We've resolved an error message that displayed when printing an invoice from Thomson Reuters Practice CS application to GoFileRoom. This integration point is now working as expected.
  • We've updated the GoFileRoom System Requirements to include:
    • Windows 11 and Server 2019 as supported Operating Systems
    • Chrome as our recommend browser, now that Internet Explorer has been discontinued by Microsoft.
    • The 32-bit version of Adobe Acrobat is required to take advantage of integration and other features within GoFileRoom. 64-bit versions are currently not supported.

Performance

  • Inactive staff or deactivated users were displayed for selection in the Route FirmFlow Workflow screen. This caused latency and slow movement when selecting drop-down lists. We've removed the inactive users available for selection in the Assigned To Person field.
  • We've added Pagination and Row count selections to the Document Search Lookup List and Advanced search displays. These changes contribute to more efficient navigation when there is a large number of clients served by your practice.

API’s and automation tools

In the last few years, Thomson Reuters has put a lot of resources into supporting, promoting, and creating our open API environment – both for customers to use and for third-party companies to enhance their service capabilities. New resource: These API development roadmaps highlight the API features that are, or will soon be, available for GoFileRoom and other Thomson Reuters tax and accounting applications.

API enhancements and issues included on this release:

  • We've enhanced the API upload and download functionality to support large files. For general guidelines on file sizes that can be uploaded to GoFileRoom, review this Help & How-To article.
  • We've resolved an issue where the Edit Workflow API contained only partial Header and resulted in the PIC value being deleted. The request body can now include only the part of the workflow in which you're updating. The PIC field should be cleared only if we mention the field name in the request and set the value as “CLEAR”.
  • When attempting to update the value for an information field in a workflow, certain events resulted in an "Access denied" error message. The 'Edit Workflow' endpoint of the Workflow API now updates the information field and no longer presents an error message.
  • We've addressed an issue with the CreateWorkflow API. Deliverables, Information fields, Notes, delivery, and destination information are now populated. We've also corrected the error “Access denied. User doesn’t have permissions to access the workflow”. This error message was wrongfully displayed and properties ignored when adding new workflow.

We've updated the Microsoft GoFileRoom Connector.

  • The GoFileRoom Connector provides an easy way for Thomson Reuters customers to use API's for GoFileRoom and FirmFlow. Microsoft Power Platform is part of the Office® 365 suite, allows you to build powerful automated scenarios across the most common applications and services. The GoFileRoom Connector supports many of the GoFileRoom API’s to easily communicate with Microsoft applications. Your firm can use these tools to integrate GoFileRoom with third-party applications that can help you automate workflows and tasks.
