GoFileRoom

General

  • Application performance optimization remains top priority for Thomson Reuters. We've made several modifications to assure GoFileRoom and AdvanceFlow stability. These are proactive measures to both supporting servers and the application’s code that will contribute to a better experience.
  • We've resolved a performance issue impacting your experience in the Chrome browser. When selecting to Move a deliverable, the deliverable now moves immediately. You can view changes without any delay.
  • When trying to edit your document, certain PDF and Word documents became stagnant. Or users received error messages referencing “Error 9.1, An Error occurred”. We've addressed both document edit and preview functionality, now GoFileRoom functions as expected.
  • GoFileRoom’s system generated email messages and notifications will now provide updated links to contact Thomson Reuters Support, including Chat Support, Email, and phone. This will assist your team when in need of reaching the Thomson Reuters Support team.
  • We've made minor updates to improve the Single Sign-On user experience. Changes include: An eye icon to the password field, allowing the user to Hide/Show the entered password. Please visit Getting Started with Single Sign-On for GoFileroom if your firm is considering implementation of Single Sign-On.
  • We've updated the GoFileRoom System Requirements to include:
    • Windows 11 and Server 2019 as supported Operating Systems
    • Chrome as our recommend browser, now that Internet Explorer has been discontinued by Microsoft.
    • The 32-bit version of Adobe Acrobat is required to take advantage of integration and other features within GoFileRoom. 64-bit versions are currently not supported.

API's and automation tools

  • This release includes a popular enhancement request from our customers and third parties to improve the "EditWorkflow" endpoint of the Firmflow "Workflow" API. The goal is to create a V2 "EditWorkflow" endpoint that supports the editing of many "deliverable" objects, many "informationFields" objects, and many "routingSummary". This enhancement allows you to: Edit many deliverables, information fields, and responsible steps within a single call. While delivering a more streamlined approach when making changes to many objects.
  • We've made adjustments to the Route Workflow V2 API Endpoint to better notify when routing a Workflow. On prior versions of GoFileRoom, if the "status" field was left blank, the API was returning an inaccurate error stating "priority is required. Please enter required fields and retry". The message now displays, "Status is required. Please enter required fields and retry".

Thomson Reuters continues to invest resources into supporting, promoting, and creating our open API environment – both for customers to use and for third-party companies to enhance their service capabilities. New resource: These API development roadmaps highlight the API features that are, or will soon be, available for GoFileRoom and other Thomson Reuters tax and accounting applications.

Reminder: Client Add-In version 22.1.10 is now available

We recommend that you install the latest version of the GoFileRoom Client Add-in with this release.

GoFileRoom and AdvanceFlow supports the current, and one prior version of the Client Add-In. If your firm experiences any issues, verify your users have the latest version of the Client Add-In installed.

Note: You can find the version of the GoFileRoom Client Add-In within Add/Remove Programs.

To download an Add-In, select your name on any GoFileRoom screen and choose the desired Add-In from the dropdown list.

  • We've addressed an issue where in certain events, that would lead to GoFileRoom Document edits (made within Excel, Word, PDF’s) to intermittently fail to save and retain recent changes to the document when selecting Save to GoFileRoom.
  • We've addressed a limitation when copying formulas and other spreadsheet content between Microsoft Excel instances.
  • We've resolved certain situations where Excel documents would not open and no error was provided. The behavior would open Excel in Task Manager, and in the "background processes" but nothing else visually took place. xls, xlsxn and xlsm file extensions now perform as expected.
  • The GoFileRoom ControlPanel displayed an error message, “Changes were made to the current profile.” This erroneous message is no longer displayed.
  • We've addressed an issue that prevented adding certain e-mail formats from Outlook to GoFileRoom.
  • When in Outlook, and leveraging the Attach GoFileRoom Document(s) option, an error “Script Error: An error has occurred in the script on this page” displayed. This selection is now performing as expected.
